John has serviced my appliances for several years now; he always responds quickly, usually the same day you call, and always accommodates my busy work schedule. He most recently went out of his way to repair my 30-year old washer, knowing that a new one is cost prohibitive for me right now. I can't say enough about how helpful and thorough John was. He was able to get me in on the same day I called and when he came, did a very thorough inspection of my dryer to determine whether there was more than one issue and explained exactly what he was doing. Both times I've called him, he's provided same-or-next-day service. He has a vast knowledge of the inner workings of appliances, and likes to share it with you as he works, which helps you to learn about your own appliance. A rarity in a world of greedy, deceptive business practices, John is trustworthy and honest... he tells you the truth about what is wrong with your appliance, and doesn't charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. We've been a customer for many years. Always great service. John looks for the inexpensive way to fix an appliance. We recently went through the self cleaning cycle on our oven. The door lock is operated by an electric motor. After the cycle the door would not open. When I called John he knew what I was doing wrong and talked me through the sequence over the phone which solved the problem, saving a service call. We recently used Arnold's Appliance Service in RI for about the 4th time now. John has an incredible knowledge of old and new appliances as well as an inventory of hard to find parts. He has repaired washing machines, refrigerators, dishwasher and installed one new microwave for us.
